How many chickens did you start with and when?
Saw an article about raising a backyard flock in Organic Gardening, January 1993. Asked DH pretty please & he built an 8 by 8 coop. Ordered 12 Barred Rocks from local store. Had 3 roos & 9 hens. Ended up with 1 roo and 9 hens in the end. Sons (4 &6 at the time) made pets out of 2 of them...- Cindy in PA
