Put the "wading pool" in each run under the shade cloth. It was 100 today, so they were quite relieved. The wading pool is a 2'x3'x6" bin with a concrete rock in it and about a couple inches of water. First they just drank and drank- I have nipple waterers, and the chickens like the mouth...- greenSearcher

What have you done for your chickens today?
DH has been letting then out in the early AM, and I take them a hot breakfast about 3 hours later. Been working on cleaning out the freezer (dug to the bottom and back for old freezer burned stuff, and boil it into a soup. Also been going through the pantry for 'expired' dry goods that are...- greenSearcher
