neat! i like that idea! plus you can get them at most hardware stores pretty cheaply! though i think if you have an old t-shirt you could cut the sleeve off and cut the holes for the wings but that might just be a quick and temp solution.

i can't think of any good way to really bandage the crop from being picked on by the bird. i do remember seeing a recent thread about a crop bra (and i am not joking on that name ) and it is usually used to support an over sized crop but i think it would also work for...

do you know if the fluid has any color to it, or is it thick on thin? are you able to push away the feathers from around where this cyst/boil or puncture is? you may want to pluck some feathers in case you may need to do any...
posting pics may help. but it sounds like it could also be that the crop got punctured if it is the size of a lemon!
what size or type of bird is this? how old? is it still eating/drinking? what have you been feeding it?
