The woman that owns my local pet store swears by it, although I've never used it. Says she gets it every month with her feed for the new ones coming in. I think she says she uses it for her turkeys also. Yes it shouldn't be too hard to divide it into the quantity that you need.

Is it a mixed flock? Some breeds take longer to fully mature, if they don't catch it right before winter hits, then you're looking at next year layers usually.

Unless you have a supplemental light source for them, they may not lay very well for you until the days are a little longer come Spring . How old are they?

I've never had a triple but I've had countless doubles from my Leghorn ladies. It will interesting to see what comes out of there.
