I found a home for him, but I might try that next time. Thanks!

Anyone want a super sweet frizzled rooster?! I'd love to keep him, but he's getting too loud for my neighborhood. He was hatched from eggs I bought from Donna Rippy. I'll deliver!

Sorry about your flock :( My first chicks I ordered from mypetchicken.com, and they all arrived fine, but I agree, not the best way. My next batch, I bought fertile eggs from DMRippy, and put them under a broody silky.

I don't think her eye color changed, they look dark brown/black. Is Mareks common in this in area? I'm afraid that's what it is, but I thought most younger birds got it? I do not have a rooster. Should I put her down? :(

Thank you, I'm afraid that's what it is too. She's 3 years old, so I thought that wasn't it. However, she's rapidly becoming more lame.

Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong with my 3-year old silkie hen? Over a week ago, I noticed her acting strange and discovered she was limping. I've checked all over her feet and legs and can't find any kind of cut or bumble foot. She can kick both legs and move feet-so not broke. She's...

I have a beautiful 6 month old rooster, for free to a good home. He's very sweet and not aggressive. I'd love to keep him, but I live in the city.

Found these today! Only problem is, they were in the "poop box" that I keep under the roosting bar, instead of the nesting box.

Are my chickens ever going to lay?! I have a silkie, Cochin, EE, and Wyandotte, from 6 to almost 7 months old, and still no eggs. Do I need to add light? I thought first year hens laid reguardless of the shorter days?

I need to find a new home for my rooster. The hatchery made a mistake, and I can't have a rooster in my neighborhood. He's a beautiful 12 week EE. He's been vaccinated for Marek's, eats organic food, and is partial free range in my backyard. Please let me know if you're interested. Thanks!

It said you can use it, but not repeatedly, because it can kill healthy tissue.

Thanks, I haven't tried LSN! I think I contacted all the breeders on that list that listed polish, but none were available. I found some flea market listings on CL, but I wasn't sure how reputable they were. Maybe I'm just being too picky about where I get my chickens. I can't believe they don't...

Thanks for the info, but I really need a small number, so I don't want to risk them getting cold during shipment. What is fly strike?!
