Yes! Her color is birchen/cuckoo. Her neck and wings definitely display a prominent cuckoo but she is birchen resemblance in the rest of the color. Super sweet girl, great crest and toes. Very excited to see her fully fill out with plumage
Haven't updated in awhile. Here are the silver cuckoo leghorns (autosexers), one pullet laid her first egg yesterday! And also included is a pic of a Silkie (same age) pullet who's coloring im obsessed with.
Just throwing this out there...
But I have 24 silver cuckoo leghorn chicks due to hatch later this October. Eggs are HUGE. They are auto sexed at hatch so I will be selling in trios most likely. If anyone is interested I thought I'd throw out the word.
I also have 20 ish show quality/breeder...
Thank you all for comforting me. Most everyone doesn't understand the connection you form with your chickens so I couldn't talk to anyone about her.

So I don't like to pick favorites, but one of my Silkie hens that followed me around, sunned on my feet, and was basically a dog passed away in my arms tonight. i brought her and a couple others back from college with me, so with not having and knowing a lot of people here I spent most time with...
Mine are as well. One day I got 6, then the next nada. If you get any within the next week ish let me know haha. I hate getting them shipped since it costs more and it's rough on eggs
Anyone in the area have Silkie hatching eggs? (Breeder/show quality). I'm not having luck with craiglist. I'd also be interesting in any auto-sexing breed or ameraucana hatching eggs as well:)
Yup for some lucky reason, I am always stuck with roosters and no hens. I need some for the 2 boys I kept. But it's been a struggle, can't find anyone who has any pullets!
I will be in Tennessee and I'm considering possibly hatching out a batch of silkies. Any good breeders in this area? Prefer show quality minimal breeder quality. Thanks!
