I am in need for a few started pullets... demand for eggs has grown and we lost several of the chicks that we bought this spring. I also need to cull the older hens that are eating but not laying. I need heavy layers but not "production" chickens. They eat too much feed... I live in Maury...

I am looking for a grain mill nearby. About a year ago my husband and I were driving around and saw one somewhere between Dickson and Waverly (I think..LOL) But I don't remember the name. Does anyone know of one in the Mid Tn area? Thanks Rachel

Well, I have lots of egg layers and I was taking more for the 2 RIR and Amer that she had.. I kinda figured it wasn't a white orp. I knew they got them at TSC and they didn't have those. Thanks.. I guess hubby will have to do the deed.....

A friend. Called and said her HOA informed her No Chickens! So she asked if I would take them. They are 18 was old. She said one was a white Orp. Well we picked it up yesterday and I think it is an oversized cornish cross... A very LARGE cornishX.... What say ye? Ugh. Trying to post this...

Thanks!! I picked up 10 EE pullets at TSC....my people love the blue eggs, shoot they just love opening the carton to see what fun colors they are getting!!!. I'll use the Maran...maybe throw an EE in there with them.

I am really not wanting to sell chickens, we sell the eggs. I have no problem having mixed breeds... I think they make some of the best looking birds.. Thanks Rachel

I think I have a broody hen...she has been sitting in that box for over a week... I think I want her to hatch the eggs, just to see.... The kids would like it. What should I do to make her comfy? Right now I have 20 month old chicks in the broody pen, I guess by the time she hatches, I should...

We we picked up 15 today..... Yikes.. Plus my oldest picked out another mystery banty....looks like a mini EE.. One of the CMs that you sold to me is a roo.... I think I am going to put him in with my EEs next spring... We got a few at TSC today.... Any idea what I will end up with??? DH is...

That makes total sense, we have been gettin huge eggs since the CM's started laying, my dad felt sorry for them... We cracked open 3 of them this morning and they were all double yolks.
