So the top shelf with the heater and fan are at 100.4 and the bottom tray for eggs is at 99.4 My question is: Should I be happy and leave it alone or keep adjusting more.

I got it adjusted to 100.4 on top shelf by fan and 99.2 down by by the bottom tray....so what do ya'll think? Leave it alone or mess with it some more. These reading are from one digital therm. with a wire. My GQF therm that slides through a hole reads 95

I got both of the bators up and running. I am still learning how to set the temp. I have got it to 97 and to 101. I am having trouble getting to the 99.5 any suggestions? thanks. Tomorrow is like the last day I can put the eggs I want to in this time. Thanks Agian.

It should be. I don't see why it wouldn't be, when it "degrades" to table salt. We use it in our bator on all the metal surfaces and haven't had a problem. It is also safe to use on wood, like in your coop, because you don't have to worry...
When cleaning, should I just srub clean then spray lightly with a bleach solution and wipe dry. that is what I did with my other plastic incubator. This is the way to go...right?

How long should they run empty before I can use them? I got a couple of lavender eggs today that I want to incubate to test it out....Can I start this Wed-thur if I let it run those two day? Thanks for all the help everyone...
