    How high is too high [for safety] for a Marans? My perches are about 3-4' off the floor. I have a higher one on one side of my coop and a lower one on the other side. My current 2 BCM hens aren't anything spectacular but I have some nice prospects growing out and I don't want to risk hurting...

    Does anyone know where I can get Bev Davis hatching eggs or any that are really dark? So far I've contacted 4 or 5 breeders and only 1 or 2 have responded and they don't have hatching eggs and don't ship chicks. :/ I'm mostly interested in dark egg layers for my laying flock but I value correct...

    I'm looking for some really dark FBCM hatching eggs. Does anyone have pics of what they have available? I'm open to an adult breeding trio as well if the hens are proven to lay Very dark eggs.

    Such a cutie! I didn't raise my from chicks and they're super flighty. :( wish they at least didn't act like they think I'm planning to butcher them! Here's pics of my two hens.

    Hi! I've been watching this post for a while and today I finally got some pics taken of my BCM hens. One of them is really shy and hard to get pics of but I did get a couple. I'd love to know what you all think of them. Copper and some of my others in the foreground Ebony in the background...
