i have done that twice with silkies..could not wait....i never had the nerve to do it when they were so young tho...so you barely had to nip the nail? they look so delicate and tiny! i did the nails but they were prob 8 weeks when i did it or at least 6....
now what i have found when i hatched them was that the females had black that went all the way to the toes. the males did not. so those would be roosters. i read and read and compared photos and the same for barred rocks altho they have a yellow spot on their heads for girls as well. if i were...
i don't know...that sounds like a good amount..go with the two lines and maybe next time get the other...are your breeding some? is that your intention?
i always ending up giving in eventually and letting them have a couple eggs or chicks...at this point i have to re home them though. running out of room!

how old are they? are they just two months??? crowing (sort of) that young? I have a Maran mix cockerel who is two months and honestly i think he is already kind of chasing one of his hatch mates around! could that be?
what cuties! i am veering off from my regular forums to ask here if ANYONE anywhere has knowledge of bantam BCM's????? Someone in oregon WAS doing that but no longer.....would be a serious success here!
