    About a year and a half. The new white feathers are at the front of his tail, near where his oil gland is.

    I found that my BCM rooster is growing some new tail feathers. They are coming in white. I'll keep an eye on it and see if they turn black.

    The smaller attack roosters are more troublesome. They are difficult to catch, and execute aerobatics as part of their attacks. The more personable of my BCM roosters once did his wing display and shuffle dance for me, but not since I trimmed his wing on one side. He is embarrased to show it off...

    My black copper marans cockerels had the 2nd or 3rd primary feather grow in white, but later fill in with black as the bird matured.
