Hey guys! I've been away for a while. Hope everyone's NYD hatches are going well. I just hatched out some Seramas. I was very surprised that I hatched out a frizzled turken. The seller sent an oops egg. Hope everyone had a great Christmas! Hope I haven't missed anything on here.

Ok, does anyone know where I can find a good quality Lavender Orpington Rooster? I have a rooster and 4 hens that I was wanting to raise chicks from. I am fine with the girls, but not as much with him. I culled 6 roos and he was the one that I chose to keep. He has real good build and type, and...

Good luck. On my last hatch I got a frizzle Serama. I just ordered some more eggs that shipped today, and I think I got her last shippment. I have several in the batch coming that are supposed to be frizzled. Maybe this time next year I can help you out. :)

Alright, I am about to try hatching some more Serama babies. I have some more eggs coming. I just hope it's not too cold. They are coming from North Carolina so hopefully the trip will not be too hard. My last hatch didn't turn out as well as I hoped. Any ideas why I would have 11 make it to...

I was thinking like 60 or 70 years ago. I just wondered what it was. And when everyone just started feeding layer pellets. I think I need to cut back on the layer pellets some. I am noticing some of my girls are getting a little too overweight. They also free range in an acre field.

Ok, weird question. In the old days, what did people feed their chickens before layer pellets came along. I know probabbly scratch grain but what else?

My lemon Cuckoo are almost laying age too! Does yours have the cuckoo pattern on them? Only one of my girls does and the other 3 don't but carry the gene. Both of my boys do. I love them. I have a live trap set out with the left over dorking pullet in it. I sat it out 2 nights ago but nothing...

Rats, that is awful. I didn't even think about that. What about a skunk? Are there anythings out there I can get to deter predators. There is one place I could think of that they may have gotten in. I am going to fix that tonight.

Ok, what will kill a chicken and eat out all of the insides and leave the head. I came home tonight and went and checked and I had 1 Pullet this way. Then in the next run over I had one that was dead in the door of the coop and not eaten at all. I set a trap with the dead chicken to try and...

For some reason I can't edit my earlier post. But,what she says about guineas is absolutely correct. So the Guineas are not for sale. Actually, I am just going to keep the goats too. Sorry guys.. It's something my wife and I talked about, but I just can't bear to part with them. I love all my...

Sorry, I wasn't refering to the guy from Sandhill being a judge. I was referring to Duane Urch. I was mistaken then. I thought that sand hill was ran by an older couple.
