Why do hens yell when they are done laying?
Mine are mostly older layers. Some announce they're about to lay, some that they've just laid, some are silent about it. One walks outside the coop then does the egg song; gives me the impression she's trying to lure any predator to her and away from her egg. I dunno, maybe this is it and the...- Judy
