    Hey has anyone tried this??? I have lost half of my clutch of eggs because of the heat, I was wondering about putting frozen water bottles in the small broody coop either near the nest or under it to keep it cooler in there. Just replacing with new each day.

    Do any of ya'll know how to feather sex chicks? I have heard of it several times but just not sure what to look for. Supposedly female chicks develop end wing feathers quicker than boys. Or one said the end wing feathers are staggered in the female where the male wing feathers are straight& even.

    well I learned the hard way not to put cracked eggs back in the nest I had one that was developing well and didn't want to throw it away, well I didn't and it broke all over the nest and the other eggs.

    I take Ling Ling off of the nest once a day so she will go potty, and that is when I candle the eggs. I put them all in a calander with a towel under them to the darkets room which is our bathroom. We have one of those SUPER bright flash lights that you can see through your hand! Anyway...
