14/16 have hatched so far.....one more has pipped

My wife called and apparently I am up to 9 chicks now. Of the 7 eggs that are left, at least 5 are pipped.....looks like my first time hatching is going to be a success!

I now have 5 chicks! This picture shows chick #3 and just to it's left the zipping of chick #4. Sorry for the quality of the picture.

Woke up to 4 chicks in the incubator! I actually got to watch one zip and come out of its shell. I'll post pictures in a few hours....right now I am going back to bed!!!!

I have had all the excitement I can handle for a day I am turning in....will most certainly provide pics of the progress tomorrow morning! Still at 10 pips....hopefully some of the chicks have hatched by that point!

Up to at least 8 pips now....can't see on the back side of several....so there may be more.

I have pips!!! At least 4 of my 16 eggs have pipped!

Here's a picture of my setup. Expecting 16 (hopefully) mixed breed chicks on the 23rd. As stated before...this is my test run so that I know what I am doing before my Delaware, Speckled Sussex, and Dominique eggs arrive early next month!

Well, I checked my questional eggs tonight and was able to see two chicks moving around. The third egg is too dark to see in (olive egg). I might have 16 out of 16 developing! For sure I have 15 out of 16.....sweet! Now to see how many of the 16 will hatch! I am really enjoying my first...
