If you got it from a feed store, I will say it is an EE like you think. There are only 2 hatcheries that have true Ameraucanas and they don't typically end up at a feed store. AS for sex, it's too early to tell. I would post back in a month or so to see if the comb could give it a way at that...
For education purposes here is a couple of my EE's from the beginning. A few of mine have had 3 row pea combs and had me waiting for a cock-a-doodle
Hakiki (3 row) pretty blue eggs
Journey (3 or very wide comb) pretty blue eggs
Chestnut- Lays olive colored eggs
Jet- Her...
Yes you're correct they are not rare they are just uncommon in hen's. I had all 3 of my EE's hatch with 3 row combs only 1 being a rooster in my final hatch of last year.
I agree they got lost. This board can get moving pretty fast sometimes. Can you give a comb photo for this chick? Based on even color I'd say pullet but I haven't yet had one this color to go off from if it is hen or rooster coloring
The originals I posted were of her at 24 weeks.

Here is another one of my ladies at 2 months. She had a very wide but flat 3 row.
I agree it's rare. Thanks she knows she's pretty!
Beautiful ladies! As said before, if it was a cockerel you would know by the blazing red comb at 14 weeks. Good thing you're half way to your first egg!
I'm going with pullet. By 10 weeks I would be very surprised to not have a redder comb if it was a cockerel. Yes, could be a late bloomer but the odds are more in the pullet favor at this point.
Thanks, he is my handsome and lovable boy! I didn't realize how much he had changed until I took those photos.
I was lucky with him, I knew at about 4 weeks he was a boy because of his crowing. This is the day he started crowing! Lol
Thank you! I love the black and white color! Kauai will be 8 weeks on Wednesday. I agree, she looks very similar to Lucy Lou with the exception that yours has much puffer cheeks that mine so far (which I hope change soon in Kauai). ;)
