    Blue Laced Red Wyandotte THREAD!

Congrats! What a good girl. Um, why does it look like a piece of lumber is sticking through her side?

And your culls would still be desirable for people who just want eye candy and eggs. :)

As a newby, I can't comment on SOP; however as for "eye candy", bee-you-tee-full!!!

Just put "worming" at the top search area and you'll find more information than you thought possible. (Pictures too - just don't eat first.) There are some very knowledgeable people on this site. Remember, some posts are people's opinions or what they've heard. Others will provide data from...

    Blue Laced Red Wyandotte THREAD!

Welcome to BYC! Congrats on your new chickens and getting eggs from Stella. She definitely looks like the Black Laced Red to me. The Black Laced Gold (aka Golden Laced Wyandotte) has a much lighter color - some are even kinda brassy/orangey. My 23 week old Blue Laced Red has a similar colored...

Sorry, can't have roosters within city limits here. Hope you find a good home for one with lots of hens to keep him busy.

Great photos! Thanks for posting; now I'm 100% sure my one BLRW is a pullet at 15 weeks. Small wattle and just starting to pink up this past week or so.

    Blue Laced Red Wyandotte THREAD!

I thought about that a week ago when I noticed them while she was grooming. They really stood out. Her legs were also thicker than the EE's, but she was bigger even at two days old. I'm saying girl based on her still small and light pink comb and wattles at two months. I need her to be a pullet...

    Blue Laced Red Wyandotte THREAD!

Here's my first and only BLRW - 8 weeks old. Betty Lou Rae Wyandotte. And with her EE hatchmate Lizzy. They were moved to the new outside coop at 4 weeks old and started free-ranging with the big girls two days later. Broody mama took them over and introduced them after they'd all kept...

Congratulations! They're so pretty. Wow - only 10 weeks and feathering so well. My six week old has a loooong way to go.

I opened the link in a new tab and was able to view. How old are they?

    Blue Laced Red Wyandotte THREAD!

Oh I hope so. That is what I wanted. Based on some photos I had seen, I thought the head should have more red than the black that it currently has. And I'd be REALLY happy if it's a pullet.
