Why would you start over from step 1? Just use a silver laced Wyandotte from a different bloodline with you blue laced silver flock for genetic diversity. That way you don't have to struggle to get rid of the leaky red (again).

Those look good too! My biggest remarks would be the lacing on the wings and the legs that look a little long. The color looks more dark, but I believe that the pictures were taken in a more shady area.
This rooster on the picture underneath (my picture, not my bird) shows three...

Great project and good looking color. You do work with big numbers in the breeding flocks. If I understand correctly you have 3 cockerels and 11 pullets. Isn't it more interesting to keep the cockerels separated and put them together with the two best matching pullets? The cockerel...
@Fancychooklady
You must be well aware of the quality of your birds, but I just want to make the positive remark that your hen has got really nice round feathers.
This makes the lacing look even better than that same lacing on a bird with "sharper/pointier" feathers.
Something you should look...
At a show in Belgium I bought this lovely blue laced red Wyandotte bantam hen for my "redporcelain with blue marking"-project.
In Belgium and in the Netherlands the BLRW aren't as red as they are in the USA or in Germany.
After 2 years of breeding I should get the nice mahogany from the...
I'll give you my thoughts concerning the hen :
- good mahogany red colored
- the feathers in the neck should be darker
- good lacing on the wings
- great that the lacing continues until the tail and towards the legs
- color of the legs looks great too
- the head is too "pointed" , the head of a...
@Farmer Viola :
Always happy to help!
Hope to see lots of BLRW from your breeding flock in the future.
@chickwatcher1 :
When breeding black x blue there's this little chance that both colors show themselves on one subject.
Having a rooster with blue tailfeathers but a black chest is more...
I live in Belgium.
Plenty of pictures on my website : http://wyandottekrielenbe.webs.com/zilver-blauwgezoomd
But here are some pictures that are not on my website :
As far as my experience goes, lacing is something you can improve after one generation.
It helps ofcourse if you can breed lots of chicks...
The lacing on the back can be better and you should try to get that lacing going until the tail feathers.
Also in the next generations, keep an eye for...
I breed blue laced silver Wyandotte bantams for almost 4 years now and from my experience , the blue color is just something where you need that little bit of luck.
First year I only used a blue laced silver rooster and silver laced hens.
The second and third year I tried the same combination +...

These 3 pullets look like great breeding material.
Very goodlooking chestlacing and I like their type.
Why wouldn't you use the splash hens in breeding?
The rooster looks great in his lacing and body mass, but I would like to see some more tail on him.
Or not necessary 'more' but the...
Very difficult to chose from these photo's.
I would go with rooster number 2, for his lacing looks better, and hens 2 and 5, also because of the good lacing.
You can see the lacing going on towards the tailfeathers and that's something you want.
The other hens are too blue in the tail.
On these...
