Gosling is 2 weeks old now but he seems to have a very itchy spot on his back. He is constantly preening it and has pulled out most of the fluff, it looks a little dry and flaky too. Any suggestions on what to put on it to soothe it bearing in mind it will probably be ingested? Thanks.

Nice set up Nik! They look very happy. Question: Are you separating them when they are older because they don't do well together or for some other reason. i was planning on raising Kermit with the ducks but perhaps I shouldn't? Nice pic of yourself by the way!
Good luck with...
Morning all. Sunny day here in Scotland too, loving it!
Little Kermit had his first swim yesterday - he hated every second of it! I think he will be a lot happier when he has some company. The ducks eggs have started to pip so it won't be long now hopefully.

I think the rheas will be a nerve wracking experience, I have plans on letting my males do all the work I think!
Do I want more geese? Ask me again in 6 months time
At last!
i don't know if you can make out in the pics, but both the yellow and the dark colouring on it has a very green tinge to it. Any thoughts?
anyway, thanks for all the support and hand-holding! I REALLY must go and do some work now!
Bookerdog - they are adorable!
Cute pics Shelley, thanks for sharing. And well done on the 2 new arrivals!
My own egg pipped externally at around 2pm yesteray afternoon but hasn't made any progress since. Hoping things will get moving along today. how is everyone else doing?

It pipped internally sometime yesterday. I can only candle at night when it gets dark as I have no blinds in my incubation room so it was only obvious to me last night when I candled.

Best of luck, we will be waiting impatiently to hear the good news!
Vik...Is your last goose egg still going strong
Yep, still looking good although I am a little concerned about the air cell being too small. I might start misting to try and get it bigger.
I am starting to think...
