Buffbeauty, I have had chicken eggs with grossly misshapen aircells hatch. I made the mistake of tossing some out the first time I saw this and killed the babies. I didn't do that again and have had fairly decent hatches, all were shipped eggs. Good luck.
Bsntomsn, geese eggs take between 28 and 32 days is what I have heard. I suggest you read through this thread if you have not already and also the sticky, by pete55.
I currently have 3 toulouse eggs in my bator on day 29, this is only my 2nd time hatching goslings. All three have internally...
Bookerdog, nice pics, thanks for sharing.
Highlander, congratulations on your new gosling! I have only done one hatch of sebbies and with mine I could not even begin to guess at their sex until they were dry. They all looked pretty much the same while they were wet.
Bookerdog, have you gotten home from work? How many goslings do you have so far?
Pete55, great picture! Your last pic is clearer than anything I ever saw in my own eggs. Just waiting now to see those new babies.
Wow, there are goslings hatching all around! Good luck everyone.
My toulouse eggs are on day 13. Of the original 11, I have 4 left- two weren't fertile, 9 started developing and of these 5 died off early. That leaves me with 4 that appear healthy and active so far. I am doing dry...

Wow, great! Shipped eggs are always a gamble, but it sounds like you made out quite well thus far. I'll be waiting and watching for any news... and don't forget to have the camera ready.

What did you pay for the eggs?
If you're asking me, my sebbies which are the 4 that have hatched were around $34 shipped and the toulouse were $6/ a dozen, but he only had 11. I picked them up when we drove to Ohio to get a doeling (female baby goat) that we had purchased, they were...
Critterranch, your gosling is adorable! How old is he/she? Do you know if it's a boy or a girl? I'd guess a girl. Sorry the others didn't make it.
I was quite fortunate in that I had 4 of my 5 fertile eggs hatch. I emailed the breeder to tell her of my results and she emailed back to...
Balbinka, I put in a new batch of 11 toulouse on 4/20. They started out in another incubator and once my sebbies hatched out they were transferred to that one which holds temps and humidity better. These were just some eggs I purchased cheaply from a hobby farmer. He never hatched nor knew...
I checked the 5th egg one final time, decided to open it and yes, the gosling was dead. I had an awful time trying to remove the membrane, which was very bloody. The gosling had expired without ever absorbing the yolk. It looked fully formed and perfect otherwise. Anyway, the whole family...
Here's a picture that was taken last night of my 4 new babies. They were outside in the grass this afternoon and I should have more pictures of them tonight once my daughter downloads them from her camera. Going strictly on coloring I think the one in the very back is a girl. All the rest are...
Pete, I just sat back down at the computer. Yes, I have candled it twice and I see no movement and am hearing no sounds. I never heard anything from the previous 4 until they had internally pipped. The egg, through candling, looked good w/lots of movement at day 26. Then on day 27 or 28 it...
I have four new babies now! Thay all hatched out yesterday and are looking cuter than ever. The fifth egg that was showing movement yesterday looks still today. It's still in the incubator, when should I finally give up on it? Will post pics soon of the others.
