Coastal has chicken feed on sale right now for 40 pounds for $7.49 no limit on how many. We went to the one in Oregon City yesterday and got 6 bags and the one in gresham got more in today so we are going back for another 6 bags

Just saw on the new that at 6:00 there is going to be a story about backyard chickens and that it's about time people in Salem are able to have them (with out keeping it a secret). I think it's channel 8 ~Tiff~

we sell ours for $3.00 and sell out daily! lol well we get about a dozen every 2 days (then also what we use) the chickens here are now paying for their own feed.

is it possible that she is about to lay? waiting for THAT nest box? We call it "the egg song" all mine do it when they lay an egg, and some of them even do it when the others lay...its a chior of loud chickens singing about laying eggs. and oh yesss they get loud!

there is a lady on craigslist from time to time that adopts roos. She has a rooster farm I think???

ok, not really Oregon but thats seems closer (Portland) then most people in the Washington thread. We are in Vancouver but I was raised in Hillsboro, and DH was raised in White Salmon. ~Tiff~
