Good news on your bully. The drains are kind of icky... but she's going strong. I'm so happy for you. Perfect news for an early Saturday morning.

Good morning! Anyone besides me disappointed we didn't get any snow? However, this balmy wet weather is kind of nice. Still thinking about a garden this spring... devising various plans for keeping chickens & dogs out. Have a great, wet, Thursday!

I would love to have some raised beds but my carpentry skills are lacking. So I think I'll be putting up some little landscape fencing to keep the dogs out. I dont anything is going to keep the chickens out. :0 But I'm okay w/ that. Would like to plant a small amount of some sort of grain. Just...

Good morning! So glad the holidays are over & everything will get back to the ol' routine. Anyone starting to plan their gardens yet? I've requested some seed catalogs & I'm thinking about where best to dig up the dirt. This summer I would like to teach myself to can. How about you?

Gotta say Tallyho... those turkeys are gorgeous. If I could process poultry I'd do it. But alas... I cant even cut up a cooked whole chicken. Grosses me out. Could you imagine having some of those birds roaming your yard? Beautiful. 15 of them though... yikes.

Quote: Just wanted to say that having a sewer problem STINKS! We had an old house where a previous owner had planted a tree right over the sewer line. Yeah, 20 years later we move in and start having trouble. Then one day I'm standing in 2" of poo. The worst part of the whole thing is going...

The best holiday yet. Despite all the home owner emergencies (replacing old sewer line, furnace not working) we had a great time. Many nights in front of the fireplace trying to keep warm watching Christmas movies and the M*A*S*H series. Even had a sick chicken in the house. All in all, it was...

Oh, I'm so asking for that day off work. Maybe I'll get to meet your salmon fav cockerel... make instant bff w/ him... hmmm.... by then I might have my partner convinced we need more poultry. My spell check doesn't check for acronyms.

Oh, I just checked out what Faverolle roosters look like. Oooooooooooo... very pretty. So I then checked out your website & see you have bantam Faverolles. Are the bantams a little less loud then regular? And could a bantam mate w/ my BO & SLW's? This might be just the route to go. I would...

Quote: What do you mean by a sound proof chamber? I am also very interested in adding a rooster to my flock. I also live in the city & want to keep my neighbors happy. We live 20 minutes west of Portland. Also, how do you pick what breed of rooster to get? Obviously we'd want a quieter...
