Have you heard anything about the withdrawal period for Wazine having changed to being a lifetime withdrawal for eggs or meat now??

Don't know that it's the best, but I use Safeguard horse or goat (depending on which animal I'm deworming) but I use it on everything from 3 week old pups /kittens to the chickens. .ironically, not my horses... But I either drop a CC of it in their beak 1 day, followed by one day off and then...

Luckily, either they just have too many wild food sources or my dogs are just a natural deterrent bc I've never even seen them hanging around my place...every once in a while I'll see one swoop down and grab a field mouse down in the horses meadow, but the avoid the whole area around the barn...

My favorite broodies are my Silkies and OEGB.. my Serama has started her own journey too but she barely covers 3 eggs.. but for a larger breed, cochins are well known for going broody too..I sent a hatchery cochin to a friend she started laying, laid for about a month and promptly went broody...

For the rooster thing..yes x2!!! I have one WCB bantam Polish boy who is WAY to big for his britches. I didn't raise him.. so I can't say if it's his genetics or if he was just not used to ever being handled. The first few weeks, I let it slide bc he was new and I thought maybe he was just...

My paint boy is the same way..when he's not feeding the chicks or watching over his family, he's pacing the fence making sure no one comes even close to their pen..

Bwhahahaha.. I thought I just over looked that part.. but yes.. I keep the roosters with the hens if they're a pair or trio.. Otherwise separate. . My human, well he's always complaining that I take better care of the animals than him..maybe if he moves to the barn....

No no. .he's in the barn with her.. well she's in the feed/tack room and he goes back and forth between the empty grow out room and feed room with her.. they have always flown out of any of the main coops and always made their way back inside the barn, so leaving them there.. he weighs all of...

Yay♡♡ nothing quite like it is there.. and then to see little heads popping out of wings and looking around like "wow".. People think I'm crazy, but if all of my hens went broody, I'd let every single one set..whether I had to empty my incus for the eggs or even buy eggs for them.. nothing...

Seems broody is contagious. .must be airborne bc my now 2 broodies can't even see each other..lol.. Thought maybe my little Serama had just been laying low bc she prefers the barn and that's where the grow out room is..nope..she was hiding, faithfully setting on 2 ping pong balls she gathered up...

Last spring I posted an ad for free topsoil/compost..just told people to bring a truck and shovel n I'd help them load it.. everyone thought the ad was a misprint bc it said free...lol.. I'm all "listen, I've got more than I can use, why not.." I had people driving from over 2 hours away to get...

My father in law has been trying to grow grass on this bank behind their house for the past 2 years. I kept telling him to come out and get some of my older compost (99% stuff from coops and runs, with a little horse poo in there).. he kept telling me it wouldn't help, it's all clay dirt...

If you could build the add-on elsewhere and then attach without pounding beside her, it would most likely work. If it were me, I'd move her to a crate on the floor of the coop, just for safety.. As for the staggered hatch, 3 days may not be too bad.. my hens usually sit at least 2 or 3 days...
