I considered giving her a few from the brooder from last night/this mornings hatch. But she is happy running around the yard with her sisters, so I am going to leave well enough alone.
I put a small water fountain and a dish of food in front of my broodys box. She reaches out here and there for a snack. Her eggs should have hatched yesterday. I'll sneak a peek again later on, I don't want to keep annoying her.
We have a Marans that has been broody since she started laying. She sat on nothing, guarded nothing ferociously, and puffed up like a basketball if anyone or anything walked by. So yours may be broody, keep an eye on everyone though, just to make sure they are healthy. Right now she's...
I hadn't moved her yet as I wasn't sure she was going to stay on the eggs. But I will get her set up elsewhere now that it appears she's determined to stay on the nest. Thanks for all the tips.
