    Quote: No, offence taken at all. I did know I don't need a roo for hens to lay eggs. I might want a rooster to maybe have babies next year. I haven't decided if I want to get one or not. Cool, at least this way it'll be your choice to have a roo, not winding up with one my mistake!

    Agreed, a rir/production red and the others are red sex-links. They're gonna lay SO many eggs! And don't get offended if you already knew this, but you don't need a roo for the hens to lay eggs. Lots of folks don't know that, so I try to throw it out there . Personally, I love my roos and look...
