    Cream Legbars

Yes, they are my first ever hatched babies. They really aren't that calm. I just catch them in a "good" moment, lol. :)

    Cream Legbars

Here are my new babies. This girl is 2 weeks old now. This were born this last Saturday. Two boys that are very different in coloring. I think the lighter one is so cute! The same two boys and one girl. She's darker than both of them, but all are easy to tell apart.

Love the pic of you and Paula's girl. So sweet! Raised brooders are the best. Much easier to tend to the chicks than having to bend over or crawl in.

I read the same thing, then went back to make sure I read what I read. I found out I did NOT read what I read.

    The ones that are laying will be 6 months old March 1, so they were 5 mos 1 week when they started. So sorry you lost Paula. I like this pic of her. Reminds me of a little ole lady in the Red Hat Society. Hope you find out soon! {{hugs}}

How about getting some of those paint strips at Lowes or Walmart? They're free and easy for everyone to get.

    Cream Legbars

Good luck with your hatch. I hope it's a good one! Sorry about your roo. Hope he heals up fast! Yay for eggs! Congrats on your eggs! My Cream Legbars are growing nicely. My oldest cockerel got hurt a couple months ago. He either fell or got pushed off the roost one night and hurt his leg. I...

    Cream Legbars

She is one of my darker pullets. I'm counting on them laying pretty blue eggs, hopefully not green. I saw some of the eggs they came from when I went to pick them up. I could kick myself for not taking a pic of them. They were such a pretty blue, almost robin egg blue to me.

That would be nice. I wouldn't mind having some White Cream Legbars.

    Cream Legbars

@PDPercherons ~ They do grow fast don't they? One of my cockerels has been crowing for a while now. Only in the mornings so far. They will be 4 months old on Jan 1. I will probably end up with only 1 usable cockerel. My older one had an accident. He must have fallen/been pushed off the roost...

    Cream Legbars

I would get rid of him and get a new one. Having to watch your back all the time takes the fun out of chickens. Not to mention the danger. I don't want a bad roo at my house. My granddaughter likes to help me feed & gather eggs. I wouldn't let her while I had my 2 English Orp cockerels around...

    Cream Legbars

Lovely Roo! I'll take skittish over aggressive any day! I hope my boys don't grow up aggressive. So far so good, but I don't mess with them much. I just put down two English Orp cockerels for being mean. Mean roosters make it not fun having chickens. :(

I agree! Nothing better than looking at pretty chickens, unless it's Cream Legbar chickens!!

    Cream Legbars

Mine are dark also. They are young, 7-9 weeks old, but they are also out of the Crele type of Cream Legbar. They still have a lot of growing to do, so only time will tell how they turn out. They like hanging out on the jungle gym in their run.
