Hello to all Cream Legbar enthusiasts, whether you have a Legbar in your flock or just enjoy looking at them.
Wanted to let you know the new Cream Legbar Club website is live today.
You can help test the system and our new forms by Joining the club as a Full or Associate member.

It is not normal, and I have not seen that in any of mine (4 years). There may be some good articles regarding gender shifts in chickens, although I don't have the references at hand. Does she still lay?
btw - what color are her legs? The top photo appears white?
Hi @duluthralphie ,
I don't consider these hackles too dark, do you not have black barring in the hen's hackles? I may have a picture of some that are too dark in my opinion, if that is helpful.
You're right, those pullets don't have great body barring. In pullets, I look for the best...
Hi All, I had 3 months of reading to catch up on this thread, nice to see familiar posts and new ones too. Sorry for all the frost-bit combs.
Since it's that time of year again, here's some of my standard color references.
The pullet on the back left is cream, pullet front right is gold...
My sympathies to everyone who tries so hard to take good care of their stock.
It must be tough just to leave the house in those temps, let alone to know it is critical to get out there and take care of the chickens etc.
All are welcome to enter =)
Give it a try, I don't think you have to be a Facebook user, but if you have a problem, send me a pm and I will help you connect to the show.
Warm wishes to everyone with cold weather stories. Maybe the rose comb variety will be a necessary evolution in the US.
Sorry the weather has been so tough on you and your flocks, I hope posting what you are experiencing helps at some level.

Wishing everyone cozy holidays!
Does he actually have black and gold/chestnut barring in both his hackle and saddle feathers? The hackle and saddle feathers are nearly matched, just a little halo at the bottom of the hackle feathers. It is nice to see the match, plus the black in the saddle feathers is a bonus.
Popping in to say -
The (British) Gold Legbar is fairly different from the (British/American) Cream Legbar and (American) Golden Crele Legbar.
Both the Cream Legbar and the Golden Crele Legbar must have a crest and should lay blue(-ish) eggs. They are different color varieties of the same...
Very nice! It is difficult to get them in their best pose, but your efforts will help your entry.
To All:
One Chicken/several views
I'm told that you can include more than one picture of a single chicken, just be sure that it is entered as that one specific chicken, not multiple entries...
Here's some of my early Legbars which fit the Golden Crele variety.
This old guy ( he was lucky to survive a coyote attack 3 years ago, and his tail feathers grew back, thankful for a great veterinarian...).
"Cinnamon" the hen in the middle of the pic.
The gold hen at the bottom...
