Thanks for all of your help. I'm sorry to hear 2 people with experience think she's mixed. Maybe I'll be able to find someone else who has bantam BA's. I really like the 2 I have and wouldn't mind starting up with breeding someday. They're beautiful and have great personalities.

Do you have experience with any of these breeds? What do you think the pullet is if she isn't the same breed? I'm not seeing how their body types are different. She's very slender and leggy, just like he is. Here are some better pics I just went out and took...

She's only 4 months old. Hasn't started laying yet. Her comb just started getting red and a little bigger in the last couple of weeks. Up until recently, it was almost non-existent and yellow. Her earlobes look exactly like the black cockerel's did right before they started growing.

Most of TSC's birds come from Mt. Healthy Hatchery around here in the North Eastern U.S.

I emailed and called Mt Healthy. The woman I spoke to was very helpful. She told me they carry a very limited number of breeds and she didn't know what my black and splash bantams were...

I think your Black Rooster and the Splash Hen are to different breeds.
Chris
Why? They are very very much alike, except the roo is black and the pullet is splash. What do you see that makes you think they are two different breed?
I am still pretty sure Darth Vader and Pokey the splash pullet are the same breed. Minorca does fit, and they're more common than the blue Andalusian, but do Minorcas come in bbs??? Pokey and DV had the same combs for a long time. They still have the same number and spacing of points. Pokey's...
They're the same age as the EE's they're on the shelf with, about 4mos old. I don't know why they sleep there, btw. I think they're afraid to go on the roost with the big girls, b/c I have 1 super mean hen that needs to go!
I think so, too!!! But how crazy is it that I got a pair of bantam Andalusians at Tractor Supply? He doesn't hold his wings down like a Dutch, and he's VERY leggy!
I still am not sure if he is an oversized Dutch, or a bantam black Blue Andalusian. I have a splash pullet that I believe is the same breed. Anyone have any idea? My 12yo son is holding him, btw, if that helps with his size at all. He's pretty small. Has been trying to mate with my hens and...
