I have my next 3 in incubators.... The next one after that planned in my head and number 5 will be whatever I pick up at the auction the week after next!
I have just candled araucana eggs from local auction, day 5, 6 of 6 fertile :)
own eggs to be taken into school for sons class to hatch, day 14, 12 of 12 growing well :)
shipped eggs day 19, 2 pipped :) - a light sussex and a cuckoo marans. 7 of 12 made it to lockdown.
Update on my scrambled welsummer eggs. Day 21 and no sign of life...... One split at around 14 days but luckily the insides just slid down and didn't go everywhere. I managed to clean that up and kept on hoping. I've not been able to see anything by candling because the shells are so dark.

I have some shipped eggs in my incubator that were pretty badly handled in the post. The box was badly damaged but the eggs were whole ...... they are very dark coloured eggs so really hard to see what's going on inside but certainly in one I could see a very mobile air cell.

You are so right LizardKing. I have been on this page a couple of times asking for people to support me and help me to resist the temptation and they basically just hand you the bottle!!
It makes me feel less guilty though - a sort of 'they told me to' excuse!

I have one hen laying gorgeous green eggs, she is with a welsummer cockerel so I just stuck 6 of her eggs in the incubator. Hopefully by the summer I'll have a few more hens laying green eggs :)

Hi Johnny, I had the same idea, but then remembered we are going away on 27th and the chicks would be very young to be left by then so I set some 2 days ago instead!!
