I read lots of forums on hatching geese, including the hatching geese 101, and they all suggested, having it at 30% until lockdown, and then to bring it up to 70%, but i have been spraying them and cooloing them everyday, as recommended in the hatching geese 101 thread, and gold silkies look...
I was planning on getting 12 silkie eggs, but after looking at the birds from a seller of the eggs online, now the 12 egg, have turned into 24 lol 5 white, 5 black, 5 gold, 5 splash and 4 cuckoo!! And i am going to be fixing up my pen soon, making it more secure etc, its all money at the minute...
So i have another 8 eggs (i think) and i candled them and it doesn't look like any of them have internally pipped tomorrow is hatch day and i have already got 2 ducklings and 10 chicks, is this still ok is there a chance they might hatch :/? I cant really see movement but then again thy are...
My ducks are hatching, should i mist them i haven't misted them the whole time but would it help and if so, don't i just spray a little bit on the whole egg, and how often should i do it:) thanks
I heard a bit of peeping, and the hole is bigger now and I can see it's beak move and the other one I saw moving has also pipped and I had candles the 3rd one and it has internally pipped :D
So i candled all my eggs, and there was one with the ring of death, and 16 that were infertile, or just didn't grow, and that leaves me with 3 duck eggs, and 24 chick eggs :) although there is one which i cant find ahaha i have it wrote down on a note pad (i numbered them all) and i couldn't see...
