    It takes that long for the membranes/air cells to reattach?? I thought 24hrs was plenty enough...... I just know that the egg I check yesterday for fertility had a pretty loose & big air sac. I just set some Welsummer and Am's last night - so it would have been in there for only the first...

    If you've got a really good vacuum with an attachment, it's the easiest. I use my husband's wet/dry vac after unscrewing with a phillips, wipe down everything with a bleach sol'n., then air dry. I'd do it after every hatch thou- better be safe than sorry.

    Those who've had the 20 Eco with the auto-turner for a long time, do you notice any issues with the turner's rate of turn? Or even failure to turn? I'm curious as I'm into my 3rd hatch now, went into lockdown this AM, and of course can see the yellow plastic residual/powder on the 2 black pegs...

    I heard one must do this with Marans. I have not.... yet. That is what the breeder told me about her success rate w/ her Marans -99% and she was adamant. Still researching, but I''m hoping that's true.
