Well last night I culled the 3 birds that had it. That was probably one of the hardest things I've ever done. I felt so bad and felt sick the rest of the night.

I read it and it is extremely probable that thats what she had. Maybe I just don't want to believe that my other birds have it. I'll post pics tomorrow of my rooster and maybe you guys can give me a better idea. I just really don't want to have to put him down

I just received a phone call from my parents they are out at my place and they said that my rooster as well as a couple other chickens that have never been within 30 feet of him have black spots on they're combs. I've been looking around and I came across a disease called fowl pox. It says...

The vet I have in my area doesn't do anything with chickens other than eat them. They are completely separated from my other birds and have not had any contact with them.

What about my other two birds that are with him? They show no signs of the disease.

So what would you recommend? I would like to add more birds to my flock so I can start breeding them. But at the same time I don't want them getting sick and breeding birds that are carriers of a disease.
