The worse part of this story is a friend callede because he found the pitbulls yesterday at the sportsmens club, so only 6 days later those dogs are out running again! So sorry to hear about your loss, I would be heartbroken too. Luckily the day the pitbulls came through I had a feeling that morning not to let my girls free range until later that day. unfortunately for our chickens there are 2 loose pitbulls that came to visit last week so they are going to be locked in the coop until further notice. I guess it was all perfect timing!- ErinsFlock

Thank you! These girls have no idea what to do with the ladder, they all flew up to the roost tonight. None of them would use the ladder to go into the coop either, I had to put them all in while my husband guarded so they didn't come back out. We are using louvered vents in our cupola, the roof of it does extend out over so hopefully the rain won't get it. This is a lot of trial and error for us!- ErinsFlock
