Built and installed the pop door today. Here is the door assembly (yes, that's a cutting board) : We wanted to make the door heavier so my son went to work carving this piece that holds 8 five ounce sinkers from my tackle box :- Tomhusker

They will have plenty of outside to use to reduce the crowding. Roughly 1600 feet of run plus three acres to free range. I don't see crowding as an issue with all the roosting space. Even at 50 there would be over 3 Sq ft per bird. Less than the ideal 4, but not terribly crowded. And again...- Tomhusker

Finished building roosts in our 10x16 coop. Ended up with 65 feet of roosting board for just under 50 chooks . Tomorrow evening add the pop door and put hardware cloth on the windows. Need to have them into the coop this weekend as I don't think the brooder is gonna hold them much longer.- Tomhusker
