I no longer have the hoop tractors, since I built the permanent hen house and hoop run, I sold them, keeping only the A-Frame. I am fairly sure the base is made from three, 2x4 eight foot long studs. So, I cut one in half to use as the end pieces of the rectangle! Walking around in the hoop...
I ordered the Large Nesting Stack Bin from WalMart by United Solutions. They are out of stock at this time. The size is perfect for my girls and the nest roost and lip of the shelf the bins sit on give ample foot room for them to get in and out of the boxes. BTW, they are called nesting boxes...
Aggressive hens seldom change behavior if the flock dynamics remain the same. I've had to re-home our most aggressive bullies - hated to because I was attached but I couldn't stand seeing docile Silkies and Ameraucanas getting their crests and beards yanked out or gentle Breda chased by the...

Yes, blue bird of, I love your houses! Very nicely done and creative. I would have never thought of doing this. [I sent this before I learned about Ovations and adding comments....I'm so used to Facebook, but,....I'm learning how to use this site "as I go" because reading the instructions...
So, this is the one I was talking about. For whatever reason, none of the pages had a "quote" option....I think it was because I was using my email web browser? Anyway, went to Chrome, found the post, with quote option this time, and here it is! I have now been through 50 pages and, don't get...
I really liked the chicken coop picture you posted on BYC. I have looked at 35-36 pages now, and you are the first person I have complimented! What size is it? And, how is it working for you now? -Donna
