Power wise yes, definitely over kill! But there are always old free ones sitting in the dumpster that work fine. Plus I can control it from the house, so it works for me. But that is aways off still. :D- chickenmomma16

Oh ya I have the hardware cloth, I had to special order it to get 48" by 100'. A nearby hardware store can special order more if I run out. I'm putting 1/2" x 1/2" hardware cloth on the top vent area (and eventually some how replacing the window screen with it too) Also, access under the coop...- chickenmomma16

Here's our almost finished new coop. It's an 8x12 and will have an attached run. We recently moved and we were told by the neighbors there is high predator traffic here due to a nearby reserve. So we will be a attaching this type of run to it, hopefully it will do the trick...- chickenmomma16
