Yes the bar the drawer would slid on has wood on it so they use that. And the part that you would put like a chair in doesn't have a bottom so they use that space to free range. I only use it for my old English rooster so it is perfect for him- danverhen14

This the coop I made out of an old desk. I got the dest at the dump for $10 an the materials were $10- danverhen14
