    Yes, my girls may use the run around the clock. I've added a raised dog igloo, too, in case they want to rest or nest in it, but they really seem to enjoy their coop. The food and water are out of the coop now. I can put bales of straw in the run to create a wind and snow break so they may...

    Is 12 square feet for three hens too small? Their run is 50 square feet and they may free range on lawn two hours daily, although its their preference to poop on my patio because that's where the ants congregate.

    Thank you to the experienced folks! For us Canucks that get cold snaps of -30? What are your thoughts on pampering? Also, if we want to add light so we may continue to feed our families, what type of light do you recommend? LEDs are quite safe but will they do the job?
