    in 30 years of raising chickens I have yet to worm one ....shoot my dogs and cats don't have them either . now don't get me wrong I don't do the natural thing that you all are talking about other than culling any sickly or weak growing birds.

    never had one to eat eggs...but then I keep oyster shells out for them all the time , I only have to refill the dish once every 3 or 4 months. they don't eat them unless they need them, at least mine don't. oh so you know how big dish is it holds 3 cups that's all.

    why would you want to keep the mice out ? the chickens love them as do the cats when a mouse comes back thru the wire after the chickens get done chasing it...only reason i see for heavy wire is to keep coons and other large animals out of the chickens..I even stop them with 1 strand of electric...
