    Are these the "streamers" people talk about on the back of a cockerel's head? This chick was hatched on Thanksgiving & is starting to get a slightly raised area on it's beak.

    My son was trying to convince me, tonight that it wasn't this Silkie who crowed. He is getting attached to him.:( I'll try to get a picture of Willie's sibling who really (thankfully) looks like a pullet.:)

    Yes, and unfortunately the comb area is slightly raised, too. That's funny about yours & how he sings!:)

    Sadly, I'm thinking this one is a roo.:( Where I live, we can't have roosters. So, I hope I'm wrong but I think I may have heard him "tid bitting" when he came to his food dish, tonight. This chick is almost 3 months old. Any thoughts?
