Trying To Help A Chicken Egg Hatch

because it will start to re-hydrate the membrane. when it is ready to hatch the veins will get smaller and the blood will disappear from the membrane. once that happens if it still isnt hydrated enough and it hasnt come out itself then you will have to finish helping it.

Quote: Ya, i'm pretty sure if the membrane is white, that its died out. If its dry, it needs more humidity. It could have dried out from opening the bator. yes. from my experience once the membrane gets dried out it is near impossiable to hydrate it enough for the chick to break through

Trying To Help A Chicken Egg Hatch

ok with the membrane being dried out it will be like rubber and there is pretty much no chance a chick will get through it by itself. i have never experienced the membrane drying out but i would have to say if its not already gone that you will have to finish what you started.
