Roosters have pointed "saddle" and "hackle" feathers. Hackle feathers are at the base of the neck, while saddle feathers are at the base of the tail. You can take a white piece of paper and look at the shape of the feather if you're unsure - roosters will have pointed and shinier feathers, while...- BlazeJester

Possibly only the one who becomes dominant. My neighbor has buff orps and only one crowed, he got rid of it and lo and behold, there was still crowing... but he really does have the quietest rooster ever. The guy only crows maybe once a week. I'm getting his babies in the spring- BlazeJester

Looks like all roos - they all appear to have hackle feathers. It's kind of hard to tell without full-body shots.- BlazeJester
