    It's a little weird for a rooster, but that wasn't a part of the judging process :P I loved how his owner described his personality, the pictures were stunning, and he has such beautiful colouring. He is one pretty boy!

    He looks splash or paint to me :P He is very pretty, whatever colour he is! :D I just love silkie roosters. I have a partridge/buff one. Can't quite determine the exact colour of him either.

    Wyandottes can be born with single combs, as it is a recessive gene. They were bred with cochins, as well as other single combed breeds in their past, so it can happen occasionally. http://www.hpbaa.com/Wyandotte_History.html A lot of hatchery birds come out with single combs.

    Thought I'd let you know that I am getting some barred NN sometime in April. They bred the green egg layer gene into them 5 years ago, so I get NN AND green eggs! :celebrate

    Which is your favourite? I didn't say it in the beginning, but we are doing one bird per size (bantam & standard) per person. That way the smaller flock owners have the same chances.
