My ducks are two months old and they still don't let me cuddle and hold them. They quack when I come out to the yard but that's only because they want to go running with the chickens instead of in their area. I just want my duckies to love me too. Lol:lol: -

Am I missing something cause the chicken coops have tons of flys too around the feed! Are my chickens the only ones who won't eat flys??? Or are you kidding. I'm fairly new to chickens and ducks so bare with me :lol: -

Thanks a bunch I will head over there after work tomorrow and see what I find. I just feel bad like the chickens and ducks are being bitten or something by all these darn flys. I don't know if they bite them or not but man they annoy the crap out of me I can't imagine how my ducks feel -

Another question....I'm wanting to put in a large pond using the pond fabric and stones like some of the pics above... So my question in how do you drain and/or clean a pond like that? I have a baby pool for the time being but would like to put in something larger That's so much for any advice -

Like fly sticky paper or is there something else. I have never bought a fly trap? Sounds like something I could use hear the feeder though. I have a ton of flys in the chicken coops also. I have never seen it like this. They are all over the food not the poop lol -

Hey folks....how do you keep the pesky flys away from your ducks food? I have so many always on the food and around it because the duckies make a huge mess. What can I do to rid these flys?? I clean the area all the time but they are in the actual food bowl eating its. This year seems the year... -

I think I figured it out. I see one tiny father sticking up on their tail and it happens to be on the 2 that don't have the bill spots. They are both pretty quite also. so I am assuming I have 2 boys and 2 girls! The boys dont fight like roosters do they? Im a duck newbie. They are truly... -

I too have fawn and white runners and ya know they don't want to be around me unless I have peas. Also how the heck do you tell the sex of them??? They are 2 months old -

@ quacked up..I think they will stay this way they are five Weeks old their feathers came i'm that color. I'm told they are fawn and white runner ducks. Thanks I just love them -

the ducks got their duckie condo finished and spent their first night in it last night. Now how the heck do I tell if I have boy duckies or girls lol? Any gueses. They are just too cute. -

Yes it was 90 today. I was home most of the day. Also I am going to have their run seperated so they don't have access to the pool when I'm not there. When do you think they will be grown enough to have full access to the run and pool? I will do just that. I just moved them to their duck... -

Im pretty sure my baby ducks hate me. They are about 3 weeks old now and I'm thinkin they need to move to their outside home. I have a pool they swim in but I'm wondering what age can they have full access to their pool without being supervised. And why do they hate me! -

Thanks everyone! These babies are so darn cute. I want to let them run the fenced 3 acres when they are older and swim in the BIG pond but I'm attached to them and worried. Any thoughts on the ducks swimming in a pond with lily pads and a lot of fish lol? -

When will they start quacking? Right now everyone peeps still lol. I thought I heard a different little hushed sound coming from one of them but it was so hushed. I'm dying to know lol.
