Wow, that is a fancy assortment of hatching eggs. I had 30+ different breeds chickens growing up and thought this would be a good experience for the kids even if we can only have hens (we are not zoned ag). I saw the "White Marans", but that reminds me too much of the factory chicken (leghorn)...

I finally got both my MD and County licenses, now another month on the Chicks from Meyer. Starting to wish I would have gotten then locally so we wouldnt have to wait, but the weather has been so cold that the later date may have been for the good.

We are on the South River between Edgewater and Mayo and have an oversize lot so qualify as long as we jump through all the hoops.

It is a requirement to have chickens in Anne Arundel County. Register with the State AND get a County license AND coop inspection. Lots of hoops to jump through......

Anyone know how long it takes to get their MD poultry registration? I have not gotten mine and need it to register with the County.
