    oh wow!! That took my breath away. We have many many natural springs in these hills and finding water is easy so maybe it has to do with that.

    LOL lucky girl! After our water contamination we priced drilling a well and I just don't have $5-7k right now. Luckily, though, we can get drinking and cooking water from another company with an uncontaminated reservoir :) thank goodness

    I'm glad you pointed that out. I knew that was the case though I've heard it will evaporate but takes five times longer (i have no idea if that's true). We're on West Virginia American water, a subsidiary of American Water which is huge in the east. I'm about 90 percent sure our system...

    Do you mean collect the seed for them? I have some I'm going to plant because I was intending to save seed for the wild birds I was feeding, before we planned to get chickens. Can the seed be given to chickens and ducks? As treats or part of their feed? Thanks!

    i know there's Yaugers in Mason county. I think they do their own blend but I don't know much beyond that. Several out here buy in bulk from them so I need to find out more. They're definitely cheaper but I'm buying non-gmo on principal ;-) and will have a small flock so am able to. One girl...

    What part of WV are you in, @Beekissed? We have a dealer for Hiland Naturals non-gmo feeds in Putnam County.

    I had the same question. Those ingredients look similar to that in Hiland non-gmo that I bought.
