Yay! My chicks adore it!

I feed mine in an ice cube tray.

This is my first experience with chickens ever, but do they grow faster on FF? Mine are only 2 weeks old, but seem more like 3 weeks old when I compare them to pictures of other chicks. They are big, and are getting a lot of their feathers in.

I made mine up 2 days before I picked up my chicks and it worked out fine. If it ends up seeming too watery, just add a bit more chick feed. My chicks are 2 weeks old now, and just love it!!

Couple of questions from the newbie. I am fermenting my chick feed in a single container, it was pretty thick the first couple days, now is bubbly (which I know is good), but also more watery. Should I move it to a 2 container system with holes for drainage? Second question, one of my chicks...

Started my fermented feed today, picking up my chicks on Wed. It has already almost doubled in size. :)

Another question.....for feeding FF to baby chicks, do I make sure there is always feed for them, or feed at certain times?

I am getting 6 chicks in 10 days and would like to ferment their food. My question is how many days ahead should I start and what amount should I start with for 6 chicks?
