Well, somehow there was one... not sure what happened with the others, they were rocking and rolling and never even pipped, it is so heartbreatking. I don't know what I did wrong.
Somehow this little one made it out... my lonley Buckeye chick.
So incubator one 1/16 = not even a 1% hatch rate...
So exciting, my first incubator is entering lock down today! I've candled and so far all my silkie, cochin and polish eggs look good. I can not see those silly Buckeyes though, very dark. Perhaps my DH will allow me to buy a better flashlight for candling if I promise to never do two incubators...
Our coop-a-date:
So far in incubator one (the silkie, poland, cochin, buckeye group) we have 2 non fertile eggs (awww), so they were removed. The other 14 looks like 13 nice growing embryos with 1 questionable little booger.
Incubator 2 (the lavender oprhs group) is only at day 4 with dark...
I would like to participate if its still open, this will be my second attempt at hatching and the eggs are due on Mother's day and then the second hatch due three days later, so exciting! :)
Incubator 1 has 14 lavender orphingtons
Incubator 2 has 16 (3 cochin, 4 silkie, 7 buckeyes and 3 polands)
