Very cool, thanks!
I think your the closet person I've come across on BYC... nice to know there are some chickens at the lakes lol.
They aren't quite cute little babies anymore, but here are some pics of the Columbians: (5 weeks old)
The Columbian Wynadotte is on the right, the chick on...
All my chickens are from a McMurphy hatchery... I am hoping to start hatching my own next year when I see what kind of parents these will be.
I am excited about the new breeds I got this year: Wynadottes, Orps, Aconas... they are all just babies still (5 weeks).
MAybe once I am successful at...
Soooo precious! We're in Mendo... I just got my first Wyandottes this Spring; Columbian. What Kind/color are yours, gold?? I really want to find some Silver Laced ones!
Oh how I wish there was a way to get it from you... I would pay you to harvest it! I make salves every year & never have enough plantain. Where I live, its the narrow leaf variety. I can drive an hour North to harvest (the broad leaf like you have) in Humboldt but it isn't as prolific so not...
Love the chickies & mama pic but I had to mention how jealous I am of that plantain you have growing all around in that picture; Wish I were closer, I'd totally come harvest some!!!
AWE! All the mama & baby pics make me wish I had a broody this year!
The hatch date for my mail order is the 28th... I'll post pics when they arrive... getting 27 of them!
