A while back I went a round with someone who said that all breeds' egg chalaza has the same appearance or thickness. I said some have a lighter chalaza. I'm not sure who's right on that.- Den in Penn

Fertility decreases with the age of the egg. The chalaza tends to disappear with age. Were they refrigerated? Again that decreases the fertility.- Den in Penn
